Abstract

What is the role of International Scientific Conferences (ISCs) in the scientific system? This is the topic that I propose to elaborate on the basis of a brief report on the coordination of the 7th EuroSEAS Conference in Lisbon (2013).

PAULO CASTRO SEIXAS (pseixas@iscsp.utl.pt) has a career of 25 years in Polytechnics and Universities. With two degrees in Anthropology (BA and PhD) and two others in Sociology (a Master and ‘Agregação’) he is currently Associate Professor at the Institute of Social and Political Sciences, University of Lisbon.
